Lake Vatnshlíðarvatn is south of the westernmost town in Vatnsskarði in Austur-Húnavatnssýsla. The water slab land belonged to the past of Glaumbær in Skagafjörður and trout fishing in the lake was considered a benefit. There is a lot of trout in the water both in the water and its drainage, which flows to Valadalsá.
