Miloli’i Beach Park isn’t much of a draw for tourists on the South Kona Coast despite it’s claim to be the last fishing village in Hawaii. However, there is another reason to make the drive down to it – the adjacent beach. On the drive down to Milolii Beach Park, you’ll pass by unsightly properties with cars and boats in their yards and the park itself has a very local feel so it’s not that welcoming. There is only one small sandy beach at Milolii Beach Park and it’s geared at small kids due to the shallow water that’s protected from the waves. Another beach nearby is made up of coral and lava cobbles is excellent for getting onto the water with a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and the snorkeling from this beach isn’t bad either.
