Miloli’i gets listed as a Hawaiian Fishing village. There’s really nothing there after a 5 mile drive down from 1500 ft to sea level. The roads are far from good and the local Hawaiians that live there don’t need looky loos staring at their homes. Miloli’i is at least 20 minutes South of Captain Cook and is very isolated. Rented from Southern Belle on Kai Ave and it was not fun. Nice view, nice house. No provision for garbage collection with tenant expected to haul it to the local waste facility, aka dump. Cockroaches and geckos in the car are not my idea of fun. The water is not treated for human consumption and u must buy water to bring there. Location is 1.5 hrs from Kailua airport and almost that to town. Small stores with limited turnover of merchandise and much higher prices are within 30- 45 minutes away.
